the news item illustrate state of the affairs in our country and many of
Indians share the same feelings, I am afraid by mentioning the mere TERM
CASTE may leads to many flames. My suggestion to the person who posted
this item is to be more generic rather than specific. This avoids lot of
friction unless some readers try to dig nonsense out of nothing.

I feel this is an inappropriate post in TELUSA.

It is joust a suggestion... No more flames,

DR. Prasad Tata

Bhopal, July 6 (PTI) Believe it or not, but a candidate securing a mere
one mark out of a total 600 in the pre-polytechnic (PPT) examination
conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Professional Board, has been declared
succesful.
Both these candidates have become eligible for admission into
polytechnics despite scoring very low marks since they belonged to reserved
categories.
Incidentally, the minimum marks required for a candidate from the
general category to succeed were 299 out of 600 and the topper scored 499.
