Thats an interesting thread!

I am sure that a lot more can be added to this!

> Another expression of measurement is: mAneDu.
For e.g. this "maaneDu" is not known all over. In kRshNa Dt. (also in
gOdaavari-s ?) they use "aDDam" (am I spelling it rightly?), which is apprly.
equal to "renDu maanelu". In raayalaseema and Nellore Dt. there are different
usages. How about natives of that area listing such words? Similarly from
north-coastal districts.

A few quick additions/comments:
under "some measures used in expression" we can add: chiTikalO (vacchEstaa)

Rain: There was an excellant discussion on "Rain" on SCIT in August, 1994
(thread started by Muddana Sekhar and a long followup by Ramakrishna
Chamarti), where all possible words were listed.

Money: bEDa

Are n't really no "accha telugu" words under Music, Books ?

If it was before end of 1995, then you can access the articles from WETD
archives.
