1. nakuluDu daSakaMThucaMpe naaraaca`mu`na`n
The first thought which caught my mind was to make this "nakuluDu"
"yinakuluDu" who actually killed "DaSakanThuDu" in the mythology.
So, here it is...
kandam : sakalamu naku praBuvAtaDu,
prakaTimpaga dharma nirati prajalandarakun,
pekalaga yasuruni nABi, yi
nakuluDu daSakanThu campe nArAcamunan..
(Intended meaning for nArAcamu = bANamu, ammu)
( Nasy gArU.. Could I get the yati, prAsa and all that good stuff for
kandam correct, this time.)
2. saa`nibOlu mEDasaa`ni cooDa
I heard that SrI mEDasAni, in one of his earlier avadhAnam's commented
on himself saying "yI kavitA sAni, nAku mETi dorasAni" or something like
that. Borrowing(I guess it is stealing actually..:)) the same idea, I
brought a little variation to it stating that kavitA sAni is actually
referred to telugu talli and that supports the 'pOlika' sAmyamu between
talli and biDDa. What do you say ?? The 'mETi' avadhAni is supposed to
enhance the meaning of 'mEDa sAni'. (mEDa, mETi meaning goppa, unnatamaina)
ATa veladi : ghanuti kekkina 'mETi' yavadhAni yItaDu, SSSII/SSSSS
telugu talli kitaDe muddu biDDa,
padamu padamu nandu madhuvu cindu, kavitA
saani bOlu mEDasAni cooDa..
3. kODala peMDliyaaDi madi kOrike teerpave bhaa`ma soukhya`mou
This was pretty straight forward with the support of a 'mEna kODalu'
in the place of a 'kODalu'. Please don't blame me, neither do I have
a 'muddula paTTi - mEna kODalu' nor am I old enough to have a 'kODalu'..
utpala mAla : vEDenu mAma yokka Datimuddula paTTini mEna kODalin,
kUDika lenno cEsi tana sOdari yAstini kolla jEyagA
tADunu gaTTa gOre niTu mEnarikammanu mATa jeppi, nA
kODala penDliyADi madi kOrika tIrpave BAma soukhyamou..
( RamakRshNa gArU.. if 'sOdari yAsti' sounds as 'dushTa samAsamu', it
could very well be substituted with 'celleli yAsti')
4. peLlaa`niki mrokku kula`mu peddayu gaaDe
samasya lOni artha vaiparItyAnni tolagincAlanTE, konta 'vyangyam'
tappadani anipistOndi kadU, Here you go..
kandam : pheLluna mATalu ruvveDi
peLlamutO kayyamEla, pOrElanilan,
goLlemuvE sika nOTiki
peLlAniki mrokku kulamu peddayu gADe..
If we could bear with the idea of NOT HAVING 'ja'/'nala' gaNamu in the
3rd place of 2nd line, we do have an interesting variation here which
actually sounds better to me.
But, before I proceed with that, not to OFFEND any of the chandO-followers
here, is a light hearted message on kandam. ( Yes, I too am an ardent fan
of chandO badhdha padya racana and Don't take this seriously to drag me
into another endless discussion on poetic liberty..:-))
'ja'gaNamu tO jagaDamEla
jagamuna yanalamu lenduku 'nala' gaNamulatO
jigi padamula yarthamamara
bigi 'yati' yanu niyati maruva pADiyu gAdE..
I intentionally left off the punctation in the last line as '..', since
it could be substituted with '!!' or '??' giving two OPPOSITE meanings
completely. This is my first attempt at writing this kind of padyamu.
Ofcourse, I do believe that,
kandam telugunakandam
candam yelamaka randam cilukunu Dendam
cindunu kavitA gandham
vindam vInula bandham viriyaravindam
( vindam used as a short form for vindamu at the starting of the fourth
line.. )
Anyway, here I would like to bring-in a 'gayyALi' into the variation that
I was talking of..
kandam : pheLluna mATalu ruvveDi,
peLlAmanu gayyALito pOrElanilan,
goLlemuvE sika nOTiki
peLlAniki mrokku kulamu peddayu gADe..
Comments / Corrections ?? You are most WELCOME.

P.S. : The pUraNalu for "vAna dEvuDu..." and "rAvaNu jEre sIta" posted
by Dr. Prabhakar and SrI sadaananda are excellent. I'll post my
attempts in my next message.
