Why think mEnaka as a`whench`? Or as a bad woman at all?
Just because she came in the way of viswaamitraa's efforts to achieve
higher goals of life?

Well, well, we have some thing to understand here.

The Lord Indra, being the supreem ruler of worlds, has some responsibilities.
Which of course include examining the eligibilities of the sages seeking finer
goals. Viswaamitra failed. Failed once or twice.

He fell for mEnaka? He understood that he is not above the `kaama' in life.
He cursed rambha? He understood that he is not above the `krOdha' in life.

He finally controlled all the natural enimies. He became brahmarshi.

Indra or mEnaka are not at fault.
