I did not offer to call the vote because my views are well known on this
issue. Since you asked, I would imagine a simple majority would decide.

just now I sent a message to both telusa and scit, hiding the telusa
address, just to show that it could be done. I could have done it
before, but ther were all these messages saying that there was nothing
secretive about telusa. SO I didn't.

Nasy asked:

1. When telusa is cross posted to SCIT, will each post appear individually
in SCIT, or will it be sent as a Digest?

There was a time when telugu digest (mailing list) had just merged with
s.c.i.t. People (like me) were still sending mail to the digest. This
mail would automatically appear onteh s.c.i.t. as an individual mail, not
as the digest. the original subject line would appear, as well. The
telugu digest name did not appear. same in reverse, those who received
the digest did not see the name of scit either. I am assuming that

1) this autoposting could work in the same, transparent way

2) just I have just now sent a message to scit in whcih telusa address
will nto appear, it will be possible to do this here as well. Therefore
although someone could reply to the individual, there would be no way of
identifying that this post had come via telusa (UNLESS we wanted such an
indentification to accompany these postings. )

So In answer to Nasy's question:

long preamble, here is the question: Is there a way, when the crossposting
appears in SCIT, to make it appear originating from the author's address,
rather than from TELUSA address? In other words, can we eliminate all
reference to TELUSA in the header of the post?

This is exactly how it will be done. There is surely a way for listproc
to handle this.
