I realized that there are two Ramakrishna gaarlu on this forum, both
with initial P. Since I am reasonably certain of the relative ages of
the two, maybe I should distinguish between them on that basis. Or I could
use enough of their inti-pErlu to make the distinction.
Let's see, I could use pilla- Ramakrishna for one and piDa-Ramakrishna.
But then, pilla Ramakrishna is actually pedda Ramakrishna, and I might
mistakenly type pIDa-Ramakrishna for the other one, with disastrous
consequences. I am confused.
Anyway, the Ramakrishna who-for-some-reason-is-always-dropping-the--

I had of course heard of Amukta mAlyada but I had no idea it was such
deep stuff. Have there been other monarchs in India/elsewhere who combined
literary depth with warring and administrative talents to a comparable
extent? I recall vaguely that there was one poet-king somewhere between
the times of nannaya and tikkana who wrote in the basavEswara genre, but
he was hardly in KDR's league as a ruler. Likewise there was ilangO aDigaL
in tamil, but I don't know much about him (so, by definition he falls
outside KDR's league as a king and historical figure.).
