I think so too. Although I can't explain why, Telugu short story is
going thru a revival. After chaasO, rAvi SAstri, koku, etc, there was
a looong break, and lately, I have seen (granting that my familiarity
with telugu literature is not exactly great) several promising ones.
My favorites are nAmini subrahmaNyam naYuDu and to some extent gandhaM
yAgnyavalkya Sarma. I may be missing a few more. For a while before
these two came on scene, pulikanTi krishNA reDDy used to be a fairly
active story writer.....
