Dear Friends,

Sri Gavarasana Satyanarayana gAru has recently concluded a survey on the
future of Telugu Language in USA.  The results of which are being
published at the First Telugu Literary Symposium being held in Atlanta,
GA(May 23-24, 1998) by  the Vanguri Foundation of America. Based on this
survey,  Dr. Gavarasana strongly feels that there needs to be an Endowed
Chair for Telugu ( telugu bhAsha pIThamu ) in America to propagate,
teach, conduct research and to modernize the Telugu Language.
