Troubleshooting Dynamic Fonts

If you did not see legible Telugu text displayed at the top of #raMgavallika# page, it could be because of a number of possible reasons (if you have earlier been able to view embedded fonts, then look at reason #3 ):
  1. Tikkana fonts may or may nor work on different versions of Macs.
  2. You are not using a browser that is capable of displaying embedded fonts.

  3. You have not enabled the dynamic fonts in the Netscape Communicator.

  4. You have recently visited a different site with Tikkana PFRs (Portable Font Resources), like http://telusa.lekha.org or http://eemaata.lekha.org etc., and your browser is using the cached PFRs from those sites instead of loading the Tikkana PFRs from /
In Netscape Communicator (or Navigator), you can force a reload of the PFRs by holding down the shift key while clicking the Reload button on the Communicator toolbar. This might take a moment to reload and redraw the screen with Telugu text.

The reload of PFRs is needed because, the DocLock protection system doesn't allow PFRs created for one site to be used for another site. Next release of PFR creation tool allows multiple sites to be specified at the time of the creation of the fonts, and until that time you need to force the reload of the PFRs.

This problem doesn't occur with Internet Explorer.

If you still have problems with the display of embedded fonts, please download the Tikkana fonts on to your machine.
